Through the heart and soul of Shane Marie Devine flow
words and song from another realm, from far beyond what we see and hear. An accomplished vocalist and songwriter, this vibrant
performer draws vision from afar, then transforms and projects this vision so that thousands can see and feel with her. Shane sparkles
with warmth and love--love for her audiences and for all of humanity. Her song, " Save the Children," has reached
millions in the planetary movement for a safer, cleaner, more peaceful world.
Singing is my greatest passion. When I sing, I feel my heart open as my body becomes a cathedral of sound dedicated
to my audiences and to God. Songs and singers are, perhaps, the alchemists of word and music that turn the world into a place
worthy of our yearning, as so artfully stated by Salman Rushdie. I am so grateful to count myself among the singers of the
world.
It has been my privilege and great pleasure to share stages and audiences with such icons as James
Taylor, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Pete Seeger, Lauren Bacall, Peter Yarrow, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Television and radio
appearances include CNN (numerous times), the Smithsonian PBS TV documentary “20 Years Later: The Martin Luther King
March on Washington”, and featured emerging artist on George Noory's COAST TO COAST AM's New Music Sundays radio show.
“Prophecies of
Love”, my first full-length CD, was released in 2007 on my indie label, Just Right Records, to rave reviews! My
upcoming CD, "Something Fine" will be released in early Fall 2010!
